Mission in the Memo:

Example: Donation towards the Food Pantry

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry at Boonville Methodist Church exists to serve individuals and families in our community who are facing food insecurity. Rooted in Christ’s call to care for one another, this ministry provides essential groceries and household items to those in need—no questions asked and no judgment given.

Open on a regular schedule, the pantry is stocked through the generous donations of church members, local partners, and volunteers who are committed to making sure no one in our community goes hungry.

Whether you need assistance or want to help serve others, the Food Pantry is a place of hope, dignity, and compassion.

Lunch with Friends

Lunch with Friends & Vets is a weekly ministry of Boonville Methodist Church that brings people together over a shared meal and meaningful conversation. This special gathering honors our local veterans while providing an opportunity for fellowship, connection, and support within our church and greater community.

All are welcome—veterans, friends, neighbors, and church members—to enjoy a delicious lunch, express gratitude, and build relationships in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s more than a meal—it’s a chance to listen, share, and celebrate the strength of community. Come hungry. Leave encouraged.

Operation Christmas Child

“Operation Christmas Child” is a Christian outreach project to children around the world. Sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, since 1993 more than 135 million shoeboxes have been collected and delivered to young underprivileged children in over 150 countries! In 2016, another 12 million children received shoe box gifts! There are over 500,000 volunteers worldwide, with more than 170,000 from the United States, involved in collecting, shipping and distributing the shoeboxes.

Churches and individuals in our local area fill shoeboxes with small gifts, for boys and girls ages two to four, five to nine, and ten to fourteen. These gifts may include toys, stuffed animals, school supplies such as paper, pencils, sharpeners and crayons, and hygiene items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, washcloth, etc. Perhaps an article to “wow” a child such as a pretty doll or soccer ball and pump could be included.

Connie Gallo, is the local OCC relay coordinator, and Catherine Krom, is a volunteer who has knit hundreds of winter hats for children. Both ladies are members of the Boonville United Methodist church and work along with many other volunteers.

You may go to the website Samaritanspurse.org/occ to get more information. Personal notes of encouragement and photos may also be enclosed. Please include a donation of $7.00 in your box to pay for transportation. These shoeboxes do change the lives of the children and their families.

Boonville United Methodist Church on Main Street is a drop-off location in our area. Boxes will be received there from November 14 to 21. Volunteers are welcome to assist during those days at the church. The boxes will be picked up November 22 and begin their long journey around the world, bringing joy to children who otherwise would receive nothing.

Women of Faith

Women in Faith is a vibrant and welcoming community of women committed to spiritual growth, fellowship, and service. Rooted in faith and united in purpose, we gather regularly for Bible study, prayer, outreach projects, and events that support both our local church and the broader community. Through compassionate service and meaningful connections, Women in Faith seeks to inspire one another and live out God’s love in action.

Whether you’re new to the church or have been here for years, all women are invited to join us as we grow together in faith and friendship.

Northeast Global Methodist Campership Fund

The Campership Fund exists to make Christian camp experiences accessible to all children—especially those who may not otherwise have the financial means to attend. Through generous support, this fund helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and experience the joy of camp in a supportive, Christ-centered environment.

Current Expenses

Your faithful giving helps sustain the daily ministry and mission of Boonville Methodist Church. Donations to our Current Expenses Fund support the ongoing needs of the church, including utilities, maintenance, worship materials, staff support, and community outreach.

Every gift—large or small—makes a difference in helping us serve our congregation and community with love and excellence. Thank you for being a vital part of the life and ministry of Boonville Methodist Church.

Pastors Discretionary Fund

The Pastoral Discretionary Fund enables our pastor to respond directly to urgent needs within the congregation and local community. This confidential fund provides support for individuals and families facing unexpected hardships, such as food insecurity, utility shutoffs, temporary housing, or other critical needs.

Your donation to the Pastoral Discretionary Fund helps extend Christ’s compassion in practical and immediate ways. Together, we can offer hope, dignity, and grace to those in times of crisis.

Scholarship Funds

Boonville Methodist Church is proud to invest in the future of our youth through a variety of scholarship opportunities. These funds are established to support students pursuing higher education, vocational training, or other continuing education programs.

Made possible by the generosity of our congregation and in honor of beloved members, these scholarships help ease the financial burden of tuition and encourage students to pursue their God-given calling with confidence.

Your contributions to our scholarship funds help nurture the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and faithful servants.
